Kitchen Sink Martini- as seen on Steven and Chris

We are always interested in passing on great entertaining tips. The wedding process is a time for socialising and entertaining and you can’t have too many ideas in your back pocket. Whether you are throwing a “get to know the new inlaws” event, hosting out of town guests or bribing your bridesmaids to help you with last minute fiddly tasks- this cocktail is a great one to add to your arsenal. This caught my eye because I love the combination of fruit and cilantro. Apparently the creator (Dee Brun- the Cocktail Deeva) stumbled upon the idea by accidentally- serendipitously even! She was staging a photo shoot and needed a drink that looked good and she was fresh out of mint.

2 ounces gin
4 ounces juice (try a pear and white grape combo)
2 ounces of lychee juice
Squirt of fresh lemon
Two sprigs of cilantro (stems and leaves)
Ice cubes

Put cilantro sprigs and gin into a glass bowl. Use the back end of a wooden spoon to muddle the herb with the alcohol. In a shaker, add the cilantro/gin mixture, lychee juice, fruit juices, lemon juice and ice cubes. Shake! Strain and serve drink in whatever glasses you love. Add a thin slice of lemon for garnish. Cheers!

Melanie’s Note- I am looking forward to trying this with Mango Juice- Mango and Cilantro (also knows as Coriander) is a winning combination in my books. Leave out the Gin if you want a non-alcoholic mocktail bursting with summer freshness.
